Here is Alexis with her butterfly...

We bought a kit that sends you 5 caterpillars in the mail and you watch them grow into their cocoons than into beautiful butterflies. Alexis had alot of fun with this and we let them fly away yesterday!

First Grade- Report Card

Alexis received her first report card and did absolutely outstanding!!! She is adding math problems, reading and learning music as well in school. She loves school this year and is very intrigued by math. Unlike her mommy, shes very good at it!

Mommy took her to Build a Bear Workshop because of this wonderful report card and she decided she wanted to make a Halloween bear. Enjoy!

Craft Pumpkin Making

We started off the day with some yummy chocolate chip pancakes at Ihop and then a trip to Michaels. We made a "craft pumpkin."(fake pumpkin) Alexis had so much fun. She definitely made a girly pumpkin with hot pink lips and eyebrows, and it will last forever! We love doing these kinds of things together, and mommy likes to snap pictures.

When I Grow Up

Had to share this one! This is Alexis with her friend, Savannah at dance class. Isn't it so precious? I was talking with her the other day and she told me, "Hey mommy, guess what 3 things I wanna be when I grow up..?" Okay so her choices were, a singer, dance teacher or a babysitter...SO CUTE! I told her mommy's is going to put her in some singing lessons and dance soon, because shes definitely a performer. She loves singing and has a beautiful voice. Shes also very interested in learning different instruments like the piano and guitar.

Thomas and I bought her a guitar and she was estatic...heres a little glimpse:

So even though today's high was 100 degrees, we still decided it was a good day for the zoo!!!! Some of Alexis' favorites were petting the sting rays, feeding the giraffe, the sky ride and she liked the eels...Here are some pics from today!

So yeah I haven't blogged in awhile...! Everything is going really good, Alexis starts school in a few weeks..1st grade YIKES! Just getting everything ready for that pretty much and I start school soon as well- getting that nursing degree done, cause " I do what I want."

Nothing really new...Im going home in Sept. for my fav cousins wedding cant wait! I have not been home in 4 years! Well I should get in bed...

Tooth Fairy comes to our Home

So within the past few days Alexis has lost 2 teeth, her two bottom ones which have taken forever to fall out. The first one she lost while she was having breakfast before school and it was too funny. First of all it started bleeding and that made her upset( She said "ew blood does not taste good..it doesn't taste like any of my juices I drink") lol. She thought she could stay home from school for this but um yeah didnt happen. Then she lost her second tooth at lunch eating some cheez its and had to go to the nurse and drink salt water...she said that time it was "better." The tooth fairy ended up leaving her $5.00, now if I remember correctly all I got was a quarter, now what can you do with a quarter?!

Alexis and her New Years Resolution

Okay so Alexis' class had made these cute little hats before xmas break that had their new years resolution on them. Now first of all its cute just to even hear her say this big word, "resolution." Her hat says that she wants to start feeding her pet and her family..(aww) So Vinny and I got woken up this morning to Alexis asking us whether we wanted Apple Jacks, strawberry cereal or corn pops...and that she wants to do her "resolution" and feed her family. What a sweetheart she is....unfortuantely she still hasn't gotten her rounds done onto Hailey. hehe. Have a great day!

Back to School 2009

Today did not come fast enough!

Alexis was so very excited to go back to school, as well as I was! She thought because it was a new year she would be going into first grade but I had to explain to her that she doesn't start 1st grade till August. That started a whole long conversation of "how old will I be in 2nd, 3rd, 4th...." then to top it all off she tells me that shes gonna live with me till shes "78" Who knows where she got this number but omg it was too funny!

This week she will also have dance class and soon will get her costume for her recital...I cannot wait! Shes gonna be so cute up there on the stage( shes not even one bit scared) go figure! When I was in dance my mother had to push me to even go to class, lol.

Well that was our day, life is back to normal and mommy goes back to school this week as well...Happy New Years!
